John Mayer, Sydney Entertainment Centre, Battle Studies World Tour
I think I’ve seen John live about five times now but this was the first time I’ve been able to photograph him on the other side of the barrier.
Three songs, no flash. No photo contract. Thank you.
Yes, he has many guitar faces.
AC/DC in Sydney, 20 February 2010
One helluva rockshow.
In this incredibly grainy clip you might be able to make out some boob flashing.
Taylor Swift 2010 Fearless Tour Sydney
Photo notes:
- A bigger stage production in comparison to her gig at the Factory Theatre in 2009. The place was well lit!
- A t-bar catwalk stuck out the front of the stage allowed for shots like the one above.
- Shooting only the second and third songs meant that we had a limited amount of time to photograph.
- Photographers did not have a dedicated pit to shoot from; instead sharing a spot beneath the catwalk with security, video crews and VIP fans (who were kind enough to let us squeeze in when necessary).
- Taylor would pause in between songs to soak up and reflect upon the applause, cheering and squealing from her fans.
- I used the Canon 50mm f1.4 for the entirety of the concert after I discovered that my telephoto zoom lens had jammed! Epic fail.
- The gig was fun to shoot - Taylor Swift appears to be one of the nicest people in the music business and that really showed on stage.
